Reverend David Ford, a native of Chicago, IL, is the pastor of Christ Tabernacle M.B. Church of Austin located in Chicago. He made history in January of 2012 when he became the pastor. His love for people led him to form a partnership with the following community organizations: Sharing Connections, an organization that provides household furniture for families in need; Safe Haven, an organization that assist families with finding housing; and West Suburban PADS, an organization that provides shelter for homeless people.

Rev. Ford has also worked along with Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, and United Way to bring much needed resources to families in the community.

Rev. Ford’s ability to teach and preach the word of God has carried him across the country for leadership, equipping, and evangelism services. His desire to see church leaders equipped for service, led him to develop a leadership training entitled, Running with Giants. This is a leadership training that is designed to mobilize church leaders and members to support their pastor in the work of the church.

Rev. Ford has traveled to churches throughout the country developing church leaders. He has seen the many things churches can do when leaders support and follow the vision of the senior pastor. He was ordained in September of 2004 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Marvin E. Wiley where he was also licensed in September of 1999. Rev. Ford attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. He is currently attending Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL studying Christian Ministry. He is married to the former Constella White. The two have one daughter, Shae Peree Strong.
